Integrating Green Infrastructure

Notably, 40 acres of the site have been dedicated to parks and green spaces, helping to offset the urban heat island effect, improve air quality, and enhance the overall health and well-being of residents and visitors.

Central to the project’s aesthetic and ecological vision was the strategic implementation of urban trees along East Cromwell Street.

RootSpace: Engineered for Urban Growth

GreenBlue Urban’s RootSpace soil cells were used to support tree health from Tidewater Street to Terrapin Way, addressing the unique challenges of urban landscape design.

Using the cells to supplement small planting areas, the project achieved sufficient soil volume, without sacrificing sidewalk space.
