“ thrilled to have the SuDSPods on-site at Lingley Mere so we can showcase to our wider colleagues and visitors the innovative solutions available when it comes to Rainwater Management interventions, and additionally looking forward to the inclusion of monitoring so we are able to understand actual performance and benefits in our own environment and the learnings associated.”

Three SuDsPods have been connected to the downpipes of the Northern Gatehouse Building, directly capturing 80 sqm of runoff from the 107 sqm roof.

Featuring a patented three-chamber internal flow control system, the SuDsPod significantly mitigates storm impact, achieving a peak flow reduction of 76% during a typical 15-minute, 1-year summer storm.

A further SuDsPod will be installed at another building on the site, along with smart performance monitoring equipment. The installation underscores the critical role of effective stormwater management in reducing peak flows from roofs and easing the burden on combined sewer systems.
