This movement towards a greener environment can be evidenced within the Fulham Wharf project transformation. Situated on the north bank of the River Thames, Fulham is an area in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, located in the southwest between Putney and Chelsea.
Barratt Homes West London were granted the green light for planning permission back in March 2012 and have since provided this landmark regeneration scheme with 463 residential units and a 100,000 sq ft Sainsburys Supermarket. In addition to this, the area has also received a hospitality upgrade with multiple restaurants, a gym and a picturesque river walk next to the river jetties.

GreenBlue were approached for their expert advice by Fabrik London on the tree planting for the gateway entrance to the new Sainsburys Superstore, offering the community additional important amenities such as; a cashpoint, Argos, Specsavers and a Café area.
To be involved in the project from start to finish is a factor GreenBlue Urban believe to be the most important element to a scheme. This allows planning stages to work collaboratively and fluently for each project member, also ensuring the Installation is implemented correctly first time.

The underground services and utilities on this site force their way through the dedicated excavation area for the tree planting. However, this is no issue for the GreenBlue StrataCell product that works its way around the existing pipework, offering the trees plenty of uncompacted rooting medium to grow to maturity and establish as they have today. Leaving a high-quality flush finish with the paving, the engraved Arborvents which lay in conjunction to the heavy-duty galvanised steel Castle Tree Grilles were specified and installed, leaving a superior finished look.
